Chalet Laun is a family-owned business. In 1960, John and Ruth Laun built the first unit—a two bedroom apartment on stilts. Over the years, the Wisconsin natives added an apartment below and then a “quadplex” containing four apartments. Throughout, they—and now their children—have taken pleasure in being able to share this special place with our many guests, who have returned year after year, generation after generation. The Laun family remains committed to preserving the natural beauty of Chalet Laun's surroundings while ensuring that Old Florida remains accessible for many.
